About the Program

Bell Cove was built in 2013 and specifically designed as a 5-bed, licensed Residential Treatment Home located in scenic Brookings, Oregon. Bell Cove is PSRB-designated program serving individuals who are affected by a mental illness and have exceptional medical care needs.

Position Details

We are looking to fill a Full-Time Facility Assistant Administrator position at our Bell Cove RTH/PSRB program in Brookings, OR. We are seeking a professional that possesses a combination of skills and credentials to provide daily managerial and administrative support. There, clients who are affected by severe and persistent mental illness, receive quality crisis stabilization services in a residential setting. This is a management position requiring leadership and independent judgment skills. This role will spend 50% of their time working on the floor with staff and clients.

Work Schedule: Friday - Monday, 8:00am-6:30pm (Day)

This position will provide administrative support to the Facility Administrator by assisting in the daily managerial oversight of the operations of the residential treatment home; including staff recruitment, interviewing, training, supervision and evaluations; staff scheduling to insure adequate client supervision and support; and reviewing and verifying time sheets; maintaining up-to-date personnel, client and program records including the accounting of client and facility funds, training and activity records. This position will be responsible for overseeing compliance of household monthly budget, petty cash, facility accounts and associated reporting to Administrative Office and other duties assigned. Duties will also include assuring that house supplies are purchased in a timely manner, maintained in adequate supply, and stored in a safe and sanitary manner. In addition, you will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques.

Qualified applicants must have the ability to interact and relate to residents, staff, managers and others with respect and dignity; to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; comprehend laws, administrative rules and regulations, and agency policies; and requires the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and other professionals and deal with clients experiencing crisis situations.

Qualifications

MUST be QMHA Certified through Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) -OR- MEET eligibility qualifications to register with MHACBO

State of Oregon QMHA credentials criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development;

OR minimum 6,000 HOURS verifiable mental health experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illness population in a supervised social service setting;

OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training

An additional TWO (2) YEARS of supervisory experience is highly preferred

Must be detail oriented with good record keeping skills

Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver’s license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.

Salary & Benefits

$4,000-$5,000 per month/DOE and QMHA credentials. This is a salary-exempt position.
