Commercial General Contractor located in San Luis Obispo is looking for a team-orientated, self-starting individual to join our team. Competitive salary and benefits come with our casual, friendly, and challenging work environment. A wide and dynamic range of job duties awaits you and include:
Financial
Assist with monthly billings
Process subcontractor and suppliers' invoices and file for billing
Monitor payables and advise on payment schedules
Maintain cost report
Ensure lien releases are current for each billing cycle
Project Assistant
Draft Subcontracts based on PM input, DocuSign to Subs for signature
Draft Subcontractor change orders for PM approval, DocuSign to Subs for signature
Assemble Project submittals based on PM input, follow up with Architects if needed and disperse to subcontractors upon return
Follow up with Subcontractors and suppliers regarding unsigned contracts, insurance certificates, submittal materials, etc. Monitor and track progress of these items
Assist PM’s with bid packages. Following up with Subs during the bid process.
Assist PM’s with writing RFI’s
Keep master subcontractor list updated
Maintain physical and digital plan sets for all projects
Maintain and improve project templates and documents as needed for all projects
General Office
Answer phone calls as required, process messages for PM’s
Assist in keeping the office orderly - filing, keeping supplies stocked, process daily mail, etc.
Running various errands as need
Keep website and social media platforms up to date (or assist our Marketing Consultant as needed)
Make sure stored laptops are periodically updated
Design marketing materials
The ideal candidate would possess the following skills:
Prior experience in the Construction industry
Strong knowledge of MS Office suite required
Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks
Detail oriented
Previous experience with DocuSign, Squarespace, Canva is a plus
Pay: DOE-Willing to train the right individual
