Established general contractor seeking motivated, professional, and career minded Construction Project Engineer. This position requires regional and out of county travel.
Project Engineer candidates must have a passion for the construction process and have the basic tools to effectively support administrative and operational staff members. Ideal candidates should possess the desire to learn while contributing to the team, must be coachable, able to manage their time and tasks, and possess the basic understanding of the construction process.
Project Engineer duties include, but not limited to:
Support to company Project Managers and Superintendents.
Perform estimating and bidding as directed.
Maintain and enforce company policy and contract requirements.
Support, maintain, and enforce Company Safety Program with staff and trade partners.
Work closely with project staff to assist, identify and solve problems.
Document and resolve changes in the work.
Values and maintains a customer care attitude.
Tactful and professional with others, always.
Project Engineer Requirements:
One to two (1-2) years’ construction experience in commercial construction or equivalent work and/or a 4 year degree in construction management, engineering, or related disciplines a plus.
Strong task manager and ability to work without constant supervision.
Strong communicator, oral and written.
Must be a team player and possess the desire to serve the company and its clients.
Must possess basic computer skills with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and MS Office Applications (word, excel, outlook, etc.). Knowledge of Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and Procore is strongly desired.
