SLO Peak Dentistry is hiring a full-time Receptionist/Scheduler to add to our growing team of dental professionals.
Job Description:
The position of Receptionist/Scheduler is one of the most important members of our staff because they act as the voice of the practice for both new and existing patients. Receptionist/Schedulers are responsible for greeting patients, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, working with insurance benefits and maintaining patient flow within the practice.
SLO Peak Dentistry is a newly formed group practice in San Luis Obispo offering comprehensive family dentistry including oral surgery and implants. SLO Peak Dentistry utilizes state-of the-art technology to provide the highest quality patient care. Our staff is dedicated to providing patients with the personalized and gentle care they deserve. We are currently accepting applicants with the following qualifications:
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a dental office in a similar position.
Knowledge of Dentrix software or similar dental software.
Knowledge of dental terminology and ADA codes and ability to communicate information.
Experience with dental insurance plans and ability to communicate benefits.
Ability to take and post payments.
Ability to perform general office duties and operate office machinery, copier, scanners, fax, email, etc.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Demonstrated competence in independently applying judgment and discretion in handling day to day activities.
Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and courtesy with a positive, up-beat attitude.
Attention to detail with a high level accuracy.
Minimum high school diploma or GED.
SLO Peak Dentistry provides excellent benefits toward medical and available dental and vision plans. Paid sick leave/vacation and holidays are also offered. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
