Paris Valley Road is an estate winery and vineyard inspired by the stunning domaines of the grand crus of France, opening in the heart of Paso Robles in 2020. Our name comes from a little-known two lane road located to the west of the very first vineyard we planted over 20 years ago. It’s here, surrounded by vineyards and gently rolling hills, that our story begins.
Paris Valley Road Estate Winery is a family owned and operated winery based in Paso Robles, CA. With inspiration from the old world, our wines are distinctly Paso Robles in style. Our focus is on Bordeaux varietals and blending techniques, but our winemaking team’s approach is modern and adventurous, showcasing the incredible variety of terroir available to us within the Paso Robles and Central Coast appellations. The winery is opening this fall and seeks an energetic team to carry on the legacy of this historic property and begin a new chapter for this beautifully renovated property on 46E.
Position Summary:
Winery Maintenance Mechanic
The Craig Stoller Collection (Sextant Wines / Paris Valley Road Estate Winery) seeks a qualified individual to maintain our exceptional facilities. This person must have a great mechanical aptitude along with a strong understanding of facility maintenance. The ideal candidate must take pride in their work and has an eye for detail. Strong communication, organizational skills and self-awareness is key.
Properties consist of two wineries, three tasting rooms, vacation rentals and an administration office. Mechanic to perform repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance on the winery’s facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
General winery maintenance, in all areas of the winery, including production, tasting facilities, offices, and other buildings.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems/water distribution systems.
Ongoing preventative maintenance for refrigeration systems, boiler systems, compressed air and wastewater systems.
Schedule and supervise appointments with outside vendors, technicians and inspectors.
Maintain and repair buildings and associated equipment including general carpentry, painting, plumbing, lighting and HVAC equipment.
Order parts and supplies needed to keep all winery systems operating properly
On-call in case of emergencies
Skills:
Understandings and ability to perform routine work on electrical, mechanical systems, and water systems.
Strong understanding of winery production equipment and ability to perform routine maintenance.
Forklift and scissorlift experience required
Ability to work in a production/hospitality environment and work with minimal supervision.
Proactive/takes initiative.
Computer skills required (Microsoft office).
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid CA driver’s license and good driving record.
High School diploma
3+ years of experience in similar role
Working experience in electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
Fluent in English, good verbal and written communication skills
Must be available to work scheduled days and have flexibility to work different schedules or hours when necessary.
Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
