Our firm is looking for a hard-working, independent, and friendly person to fill the full-time position of Paralegal. We are an expanding firm looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Answering phones and interfacing with clients regarding scheduling and basic needs
Assist with drafting correspondence, motions, and pleadings
Legal research for cases
Filing court documents with superior court
Document review and editing
Active tracking of fees and costs relating to client matters
Preparing and sending out invoices
Managing firm's calendar
Paying and logging office expenses/invoices
General oversight of the office's day-to-day tasks
Qualifications and Skills
Must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills. Must possess strong writing skills and be able to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
High School Diploma or GED required
2 + years of college education preferable
Paralegal certificate highly preferred
Familiarity with Microsoft Suite Office, Google Drive, Adobe, and Odyssey E-filing
1 year paralegal experience or 2 years legal assistant experience preferred Business law, civil litigation, and estate planning law experience a plus
Must have valid driver's license and automobile insurance
