A manufacturer is actively seeking a new Receiving Manager for a busy operation in San Luis Obispo.
We are currently looking to hire a Full-Time Receiving Manager. Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm.
Tasks include:
- Receive all inventory entering the warehouse
- Receiver is held responsible for completing all item receipts correctly
- Count all items to ensure vendor packing slip matches items shipped
- Perform quality checks as needed on inbound parts to insure they conform to our standards
- Contact the Purchasing Manager and A/P when shortages occur via email with part number, vendor name and PO number
- Inbound quality control inspections

- Read and understand English
- Capacity to learn and accept instruction
- Ability to organize self, tools, work orders, inventory
- Elite communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to learn products and all aspects of the receiving process
- Receive inventory efficiently
Hands on Experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Pneumatic Tool Operation
- Knowledge of Hardware types/sizes
- Inventory software systems
Physical conditions:
- Ability to lift heavy objects upwards of 70lbs
- Perform repetitive motions
- Stand for 8 hours at a time
- Fork Lift operation
- Loud shop environment
We seek enthusiastic, hardworking individuals, that have a desire to learn and grow with the company. Applicants must be able to be on their feet, lift large boxes, highly detail oriented and able to read/navigate technical drawings and specifications where necessary. Prior experience is a big plus.
