SALES SUPPORT ASSISTANT
Part Time: 9am-3pm, Monday through Friday.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
KFB Foods is a small, SLO based company that has been in business for over 30 years, negotiating major sales of commodity food products for buyers and suppliers. We excel at customer service and creating long-term relationships with our clients and vendors.
KFB Foods is seeking a part time Sales Support Assistant to help with order entry, administrative tasks and maintaining relationships with suppliers, food service distributors, major restaurant chains, packers, manufacturers, and ethnic wholesalers across the country. We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude.
Candidates must be able to assist co-workers (in person) and clients (via phone and email) in a helpful and positive manner. To be successful, candidates should be professional, polite, and attentive while also being organized and accurate. High attention to detail is crucial to success in this position.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Assist our Sales Manager and Sales Support Manager to help them better accomplish their duties
Process orders, confirmations, invoices and commission reports for rice, raisins, nuts, beans, oats & other commodity food items for customers and distributors
Help maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
Generate sales reports, sales orders and manage deductions
Administrative tasks (managing paperwork, filing, spreadsheets, etc.)
Ship samples to potential customer and suppliers
Standard office duties and occasional light errands
Answer phones and direct calls
Support requests from customers and office staff
SKILLS NEEDED
Able to work quickly, multi-task, and still remain extremely detail oriented in an open office concept
3+ years of professional experience in an office environment managing customer relationships, doing office administration, and/or processing orders
Enjoys routine, but also flexible enough to handle last minute requests and changes to the work day
The ability to wear many hats within a small business
Ability to prioritize multiple requests from co-workers, customers, & vendors
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and basic QuickBooks skills
Familiar with basic accounting, and good with basic mathematical calculations
Background and experience in agriculture, the food industry, sales, and the shipping/trucking industry are a positive, but not required
Problem-solver, critical thinker, self-starter
Bachelor's Degree is a plus, but not required
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently over the phone and via email
Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
High ethical standards and dependability
Superior Customer Service and a desire to be proactive to create positive experiences for others
Positive attitude and a yearning to grow long term with the business in San Luis Obispo
