Matt Clark Tile is a tile & stone distribution company looking for a Ceramic Tile Showroom Consultant for our San Luis Obispo showroom.
The Showroom Consultant is Matt Clark Tile’s first line of contact with homeowners, interior designers, architects and builders. This is a sales position where after training the Showroom Consultant will assist decision makers in selecting the appropriate tile products and presenting design ideas for their consideration. It is preferred that the applicant have an interior design background. We have an extensive ceramic tile and natural stone training program and therefore ceramic tile and natural stone experience is not necessary.
Hours: Mon and Wed. 10am to 5pm
Sat. 10am to 2pm
This position is full time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Assist other showroom consultants with
Maintaining tile samples to ensure an up to date selection.
Maintain updated price list and literature.
Inventory and maintenance of the sample room.
Updating all product displays and designing vignettes.
Organization and cleanliness of the displays in the showroom.
After training, provide tile and stone advice to homeowners, interior designers, and builders for both residential and commercial projects.
Have a good balance between sales ability and creativity.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and have great communication skills.
Have a familiarity with all capabilities and specifications of the porcelain, ceramic, stone, glass and metal tile that is represented in our showrooms.
Be knowledgeable of the various setting material products, care and maintenance products and other allied products that Matt Clark Tile offers.
Properly communicate end-user selections to the dealer or contractor that will be selling the material to the end-user
