WizeFi is a personal finance software company reinventing budgeting software by providing our users with the most effective solution for reaching financial freedom. We've validated proof of product as well as marketing and we're gearing up for the next phase. We're currently fundraising and are looking to expand our team.
WHAT WE NEED:
WizeFi is seeking an experienced and talented Javascript Developer to fill a position within our Development team. The position responsibilities include performing core development in support of our product roadmap.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Javascript Developer is primarily responsible for the design and development of solutions, both creatively and according to specified requirements, using Javascript and other web development technologies in support of WizeFis entire product suite of web-based consumer finance tools. The Developer will also assist with system implementation and support tasks.
The position requires excellent software design, coding and communication skills, as well as the ability to work with team members of the Development, Marketing and Product Management teams to develop the best possible solutions and resolve application problems. The Developer can expect to become familiar with the WizeFi application and AWS hosting environment.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Javascript development experience with web-based software applications preferably utilizing a modern Javascript frame. Consumer Finance experience is a plus. The candidate requires a well-rounded skill set with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a proactive, get the job done attitude.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform design, coding, and testing of Javascript applications in a Web-based environment.
- Design and develop applications and components within the WizeFi service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Translate business requirements into technical applications. Applications will require integration of data from several sources.
- Create innovative software solutions following object-oriented best practices from design through implementation.
- Work in a team environment to architect, design, and build applications that interface to AWS services and/or third party financial systems.
- Improve business processes and support critical business strategies by contributing to the design, development, and implementation of business applications systems.
- Contribute to the development of the technical requirements that drive product development.

TOOLS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of application development experience.
- Proven client-side development experience using JavaScript frameworks (Angular 2 experience preferred), Ajax, Rest/Soap APIs, HTML, and CSS.
- Proven server-side development experience using NodeJS, C#/ASP.NET and/or PHP.
- Experience in web service development, user authentication technologies, and database design and development.
- Object-oriented design and analysis skills.
- Experience with full software development lifecycle and software versioning (Git experience preferred).
- NoSQL development experience.
- AWS and/or Data Center operations experience is a plus.
