About the Technical Assistant Position:

We are looking for an energetic, positive, trustworthy individual to work as a Technical Assistant in the Information Systems Department at our company headquarters in San Luis Obispo. A Technical Assistant performs duties to assist in the ongoing operations of many different platform solutions. This is a regular full-time position.

Responsibilities:

Routine database administration tasks in MS SQL Server, MySQL, force.com, and others

Open, sort, distribute, and respond to incoming correspondence and support tickets

Daily monitoring and configuration tasks to keep dozens of systems running smoothly

Routine data transformation and ETL tasks

Keep technical documentation current and contribute new content

Write and execute custom data pull scripts, to customer spec, across many interdependent systems in multiple SQL-based languages

Maintain and guard root-level access to many different systems

Create and distribute technical reports on key performance metrics across the enterprise

Interact positively and professionally with clients and staff to provide a safe and positive work environment

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Moderate computer skills in Windows, Unix, and Mac operating systems

Experience in version control and change management systems such as SVN and Git

Must have working knowledge of database administration practices

Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills

Must be able to read and follow complex work instructions

Must pass pre-employment screening and clearances.

Must sign Lindamood-Bells Confidentiality Agreement.
