As the PC Technician, you will work in the Sonora, California, region. This role is a long-term temporary-to-full-time opportunity.Major responsibilities- Disassemble, box and ship equipment that is out of date- Manage inventory of equipment, including collaborating on potential purchases- Install printers, troubleshoot problems and make repairs- Handle all imaging and preparation tasks for new computers- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and refurbish PCs, laptops, monitors, server, and other computer hardware- Communicate with ticket submitters effectively and on a regular basis- Ensure sound electronic data records by adhering to company quality standards- Disassemble, pack, move and set up/install on site- Provide support for functionality testing and end users- Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors- Record daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions or installation activities- Handle data transfers from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware along with break/fix- Manage and execute technology implementation projects Requirements - Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment- Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required- 1+ years of experience supporting PC and Mac hardware and software, as well as knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN- Desired skills include an understanding of networking such as switching and routing- Comprehensive knowledge of Computer Hardware- Strong familiarity with Hardware Troubleshooting- Microsoft Windows experience- Knowledge of Basic Troubleshooting- A CompTIA A+ certification is a requisite for the position- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks- Strong problem solving and analytical skills Robert Half Technology matches IT professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
