Research Associate I or IIResponsibilities Transfection with lipid-based methods and electroporation to screen antisenseoligonucleotides (ASOs) in primary mammalian cells. Assay development and quality control of cell-based assays for characterization of smallmolecules. Culture and maintenance of neuronal cell lines (e.g. Astrocytes, neurons, microglia, etc) Data generation using Western Blot, ELISAs, qPCR, immunofluorescence, FACS, live cellimaging (Incucyte), etc. Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment. Careful and critical data analysis, statistical analysis, with rigorous data documentationQualifications
- Degree in molecular or cellular biology, biochemistry, or related field
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant industrial lab-based research, or Master's with 0-2 years experience.
- Proven track record working in primary mammalian cell culture systems, preferably in neurobiology or with CNS derived cells.
- Experience with primary mammalian cell lines, biosafety level 2 (BSL2) practices and equipment.
- Clear, direct communication skills with a diligent eye for details and an underlying curiosity.
- Must demonstrate a strong work ethic based in integrity, collaboration, and an open dialogue.
