Title: Technical Writer II Location: South San Francisco, CA, 94080 Duration: 12 months(With possibility of extension) Job Description: Duties: Prepare, write, and/or update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) required for the startup of our new Clinical Supply Center (CSC) in South San Francisco. Collaborate with Leadership, Content team and internal partners/stakeholders to ensure all SOPs are ready for the various stages of project and aligned with project start up timelines (Commissioning & Qualification, Development runs, Engineering runs, and ready for GMP use). Skills: Ability to write technical documents, and tenacious attention to detail and consistency, especially with respect to style, format, and layout. Previous experience with documents in a manufacturing/GMP environment is preferred and knowledge or experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry is beneficial. Proficiency in a broad range of technical skills, including expert-level use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Acrobat is required and knowledge of document-management systems (e.g., Documentum) and document-collaboration systems (e.g., Microsoft SharePoint) is beneficial. An aptitude for teamwork and the ability to collaborate effectively with regulatory leads and scientific experts is needed. Strong organizational and time-management skills; the ability to deliver under pressure; and the ability to work flexibly to support changing assignments and priorities in an independent and reliable manner. Education: Education: Minimum BA or BS (or equivalent) in English, biology, chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field, or previous experience working in the pharmaceutical field.
