Duties:The Associate Procurement Manager works closely with site Functional Teams and Site Governance teams to identify strategic procurement opportunities and serve as the Procurement resource on Facilities services, Supplier Relationship, and capital projects. The successful candidate must be able to participate actively on cross-functional teams as well as identify, develop, and drive strategic programs focused on reducing overall cost and improving supplier engagement and performance. This will be achieved by utilizing Procurement tools and applying market intelligence to develop category management strategies and effective Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs.

Essential: Thorough understanding of category subject matters Analyzing past and future demand volumes, inventory trends and current inventory levels Analyzing Category and Supplier Spend history, trends and forecasts Pricing analysis, modeling, purchase price cost analysis and competitive benchmarks Developing trusted and collaborative stakeholder relationships by meeting and communicating regularly Being a proactive consultant that has earned seat-at-table; Facilitating and managing cross-functional sourcing initiatives, including Make or Buy activities Developing detailed supplier knowledge, market data, including financial performance (P&L, balance sheet, debt structures, trends, history, executives, ownership, parent companies, size, concentration of sales, diversity of sales volume) Understanding the industry so that there is demonstrated abilities to lead the development of contract business terms, and facilitating cross-functional contract implementation Developing respectful relationships with key Supplier executives that are demanding yet fair as a customer that proactively manages supplier performance to drive continuous improvements. Ensuring Diversity Suppliers are included in sourcing events Identifying opportunities that focus on cost reductions, efficiencies/quality improvements, risk mitigation, industry and supply trends and shifts in technology Developing cross-functional sourcing strategies for assigned Spend categories, using standard sourcing tools and processes Exhibiting and acting with integrity by maintaining compliance with internal policies, procedures and all regulatory and governmental regulations and laws

Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage and control an annual spend program of (USD)XXM Demonstrated knowledge of the manufacturing business, markets and industry, including well-developed technical and commercial knowledge of Manufacturing Facilities, Distribution Operations and Supply Chain sectors Demonstrated ability in building cross-functional relationships and alignment Experienced in establishing and building successful supplier relationships Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to interpret and utilize key financial data Demonstrated change management skills, as well as versatility in responding to change Demonstrated ability to take a process or project into implementation. Ensures the integration of environmental health, safety, and security into the business processes, systems, and programs while reporting safety and environmental incidents including injuries, illnesses, and safety suggestions within one's functional area. Fosters a positive safety culture in which no one gets hurt. Work Environment/Physical Demands/Safety Considerations Must be able to sit and type at workstation for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of related experienceCPM, APICS certification or equivalent preferred Demonstrates basic knowledge in procurement methodologies and sourcing approaches and techniques Project management / Program management: Demonstrated ability in leading projects to successful and on-time completion Demonstrates the fundamentals in building internal and external relationships that create alignment Risk and financial analysis skills and the ability to interpret and utilize key financial data Ability to navigate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and challenging deadlines Process-oriented with solid analytical skills and demonstrate problem solving capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication, influencing and persuasion skills Demonstrates a sense of urgency and proactive approach that is results focused

Desirable:Working knowledge of SAP Working knowledge of the business, markets, regulations and cGMP operations in the biopharmaceutical industry MBA
