Position:
Grocery management of the store/market, maximize all financial opportunities and assume management responsibilities in the absence of the general manager. Demonstrate the company's values of respect, honesty, integrity, loyalty, and safety.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure that the Food department meets/exceeds customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness and cleanliness
Maintain compliance with corporate policies/standards, including merchandising, food safety, signing, stockroom, fixtures usage and maintenance, quality ordering functions, receiving procedures, freight receiving, freight stocking and all safety standards
Manage food safety audits and follow up reviews
Coordinate implementation of weekly merchandise specials
Verify accuracy on price changes
Monitor and adjust/correct overstock/understock conditions
Supervise, oversee and train co-workers in the performance of their duties
Respond to customers verbal comments/complaints/requests
Manage maintenance/repair needs
Complete customer incident and employee incident/accident report forms
Work with employees to manage all common areas to make sure they are inviting in appearance and reflect the company goals
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position
Minimum Position Qualifications/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient knowledge of computers
Proven supervisory experience
Effective communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Accuracy/attention to detail
Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
Education Level: High School Diploma/ GED Required
Required Certifications/Licenses: Driver's License, ServSafe Managers Certificate
