Description & Requirements
Highly motivated sales individual with a passion for wine and sharing wine knowledge with guests in a professional yet approachable manner and are able to convert the guest into a Wine Club member
Provide a superior customer experience and service while providing guests with knowledge on the unique qualities of our wines and brand with the goal of helping customers develop enthusiasm and appreciation of our wines and brand. Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service always
Be a team player, working with other sales associates to reach daily, weekly and monthly individual sales goals
Promote and sell wines, wine club memberships and merchandise by assisting and educating guests in tasting wines and making purchasing decisions
Work at winery events when necessary and some flexibility to work after hours events
Working both behind the bar in the tasting room, as well as, in small or large private groups and on special tours and tastings
Accurately provide and document all pertinent information regarding customer inquiries, billing, shipping, pricing, event information, and job related functions
Process shipping orders, invoicing, and customer database
Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skills
Open & close the tasting room
Inventory the tasting room when needed
Achieving and maintaining quality presentation in all public and back of the house areas at all times including responsible for the daily cleaning upkeep of event spaces, dusting, restroom maintenance etc. Maintain and keep storage areas orderly.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 plus years experience in hospitality industry.Must be 21 years of age
Exceptional customer service skills .
Strong presentation skills with the ability to speak about wines & winemaking process
Approachable, friendly demeanor & positive attitude
Flexibility to take on additional hours if needed in the tasting room and change schedules to cover shifts when needed
Self motivated with the ability to proactively address issues with minimal supervision
Previous hospitality experience desired
Clean and professional appearance
Ensure safety and security throughout the winery
Be professional and hospitable to all guests and employees at all times
Able to lift 50lbs. Requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting & lifting tables & cases of wine.
