We are hiring a full-time hourly Maintenance Technician who will provide assistance in maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the property. Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repairs in a timely and professional manner. Assist with keeping grounds and common area free of trash and debris. Perform on-call emergency service as required. Assist in performing duties to restore apartments to "make ready" status. Must be able to work inside or outside in all types of weather. Physical requirements: Medium to heavy work requiring prolonged or repeated standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and lifting to a maximum of 100 lbs with frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
Minimum of one to three years of verifiable hands-on apartment maintenance experience, including knowledge of appliance repair, light carpentry, electrical and plumbing repair. Ability to work safely with various hand tools related to maintenance and landscaping. Possession of a current and valid CA driver's license and operating vehicle with valid insurance for on-call emergencies. High School diploma or GED required. Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and regulations is a plus. Must have a positive customer service attitude. Ability to participate in On-Call rotation for emergencies; and work holidays and weekends when needed.
