Project criticality should be highlighted in resume The Program Management Office drives the execution of the rhythms needed to achieve Platform's goals in an agile, predictable, and efficient manner. We play our part in innovating on the world’s largest stage. The team owns the execution rhythm to deliver high quality outcomes based on product roadmaps. The team also drives for organization transformation with Agile methodology. You’ll deliver customer-centric solutions for some of our most strategic operating frameworks. As part of the Transaction Systems organization PMO, this role will be a crucial enabler for our Payment group. We are looking for a delivery-obsessed collaborator, an individual contributor who will work alongside talented Engineering teams to deliver the best payment platform for our valued customers.

Walmart’s Payments group is responsible for enabling the Retail tech platform that supports customers’ ability to pay for merchandise in stores or on the eCommerce platform, and to provide a robust payment experience for customers in stores and online. Walmart is investing in transforming these spaces with latest technology and we are looking for talented individual who can use their engineering and leadership skills to help our teams solve complex problems.

You’ll make an impact by:
  • Increasing communication, collaboration, transparency and throughput across the organization and with our stakeholder, managing relationships with geographically distributed teams, stakeholders and third-party vendors
  • Serving as a Scrum Master for one or more teams on Payment group, facilitating team sprint ceremonies (daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospectives), developing and maintaining project schedules to track milestones, escalating project-related issues to leadership according to project guidelines, providing project status reports to stakeholders and management, managing project change control processes, coordinating production issue resolution, gathering and interpreting data/reporting, helping guide teams towards issue resolution and risk management and providing additional support to the team as needed
  • Implementing an Agile framework, usually Scrum, to manage teams engaged in highly complex projects with cross-functional peers, senior leaders/stakeholders and external partners: ensuring the team understands project objectives and timelines, as well as how their deliverables impact the overall program; working with project management to create and consolidate program timelines; communicating iteration/program healthin a way that all levels of the organization can consume; collaborating with portfolio partners to resolve program issues and drive mitigationplans; and working with the portfolio team to determine business readiness for implementation
  • Identifying, tracking and reporting out on various metrics/KPIs to help measure the team’s success
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and supporting company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

What You Will Do:
  • Drive Agile Scrum ceremonies for multiple product teams
  • Define goals, deliverables and schedules for managing multiple medium complexity projects within a program
  • Create accountability matrix for your projects
  • Assess and identify resources required for successful program completion
  • Identify potential risks for successful completion of your projects
  • Monitor the program progress against timelines and approved milestones
  • Lead cross functional coordination meetings to review progress and risks
  • Identify internal stakeholders for own area of work and engage on a periodic basis
  • Build strong relationships within the immediate working group
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in one-to-one/stakeholder meeting involving one–two teams
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of products and services
  • Identify potential risks for successful completion of your projects
  • Comprehend the financial plan for multiple project implementation

Requirements/Experience in:
  • Bachelor of Science and 5 years' technical program management experience OR Master of Science and 2 years' technical program management experience OR 8 years' technical program management experience.

  • Tools candidate will need to demonstrate capabilities with:
o Standard office tools (word processing, spreadsheet, basic database management)o Engagement and collaboration tools (Zoom, planning tools, etc.)o Agile project management and communication tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification(s) in Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Experience using Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
