Red Oak Technologies is seeking a
DevOps Engineer to set up Lab infrastructure for our client located in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a long term contract position. “NOTE: If selected for this position, you are required to perform ALL work within a commutable distance of your assigned Worksite Location.”Responsibilities:- Gather requirements, build infrastructure and tooling
- Set up Lab - Infrastructure experience (routers, switches etc)
- Be a conduit for technical expertise in liaising with external partners
- Provide technical guidance, solving expertise, and architectural insight to development, quality, and site reliability teams.
- Solve complex problems using both open-source and in-house tooling to support security and business initiatives.
- Build applications and tools to reduce barriers, decrease friction and speed up delivery of products.
- Scale existing technologies (or promote new technologies) to out-pace current growth projections.
- Evangelize next generation cloud and DevOps products and processes,
- experiment with their implementation and bring them to fruition.
- Education/Experience - BS degree in computer science or equivalent field with 6+ years or MS degree with 4+ years experience, or equivalent.
- Mandatory Technical Stack - Ansible, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Python
- Strong Containerization
- Extensive large-scale multi-cloud deployments experience
- Kubernetes, Docker, AWS
- Write Dockerfiles
- Extensive experience with Kubernetes yaml definitions from scratch, containerization, clusters
- Linux compute, networking, storage, and DB's (SQL and NoSQL).
- Write automation playbooks for Ansible.
- Jenkins plugins, and pipeline as code (Groovy).
- In depth knowledge of GitHub, Maven, Gradle.
- Excellent scripting skills in Python, Golang and Bash.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with Dev, QA, and SRE teams.
- Understanding the security and compliance aspects of DevOps.
