Red Oak Technologies is seeking a

DevOps Engineer to set up Lab infrastructure for our client located in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a long term contract position. “NOTE: If selected for this position, you are required to perform ALL work within a commutable distance of your assigned Worksite Location.”

Responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements, build infrastructure and tooling
  • Set up Lab - Infrastructure experience (routers, switches etc)
  • Be a conduit for technical expertise in liaising with external partners
  • Provide technical guidance, solving expertise, and architectural insight to development, quality, and site reliability teams.
  • Solve complex problems using both open-source and in-house tooling to support security and business initiatives.
  • Build applications and tools to reduce barriers, decrease friction and speed up delivery of products.
  • Scale existing technologies (or promote new technologies) to out-pace current growth projections.
  • Evangelize next generation cloud and DevOps products and processes,
  • experiment with their implementation and bring them to fruition.

Description
  • Education/Experience - BS degree in computer science or equivalent field with 6+ years or MS degree with 4+ years experience, or equivalent.
  • Mandatory Technical Stack - Ansible, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Python
  • Strong Containerization
  • Extensive large-scale multi-cloud deployments experience
  • Kubernetes, Docker, AWS
  • Write Dockerfiles
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes yaml definitions from scratch, containerization, clusters
  • Linux compute, networking, storage, and DB's (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Write automation playbooks for Ansible.
  • Jenkins plugins, and pipeline as code (Groovy).
  • In depth knowledge of GitHub, Maven, Gradle.
  • Excellent scripting skills in Python, Golang and Bash.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with Dev, QA, and SRE teams.
  • Understanding the security and compliance aspects of DevOps.
