Duties:•Work with cross functional teams to develop list of and engineering requirements for packaging required for new service modules•Work with the client's mechanical design and packaging engineers to analyze & determine whether new service modules can use existing packaging•Work with the client's mechanical design, packaging engineers & packaging vendors to help develop new packaging designs as required•Work with mechanical design, packaging engineers, reliability and quality teams to develop, track and execute on packaging validation plans (drop, shock, vibe, environmental, etc)•Work with cross functional teams to develop and track prototype and mass production schedules for packaging•Work with vendors to manage quotes, purchase orders, schedules, etc of prototype / development builds and hand off to global supply managers as needed to meet mass production deadlines and cost targets•Create engineering documentation, BOMs, drawings, and upload to Agile as required, with assistance from mechanical design, packaging engineers and vendors as needed•Manage the above on multiple programs across multiple program lines with multiple cross functional teams•Update management on project status on a weekly basis, highlighting and alerting at risk / critical items as requiredKey Skills:•Highly organized, able to handle a high volume of tasks simultaneously•Ability to drill down into an issue and clearly present pros / cons to drive rapid decision making based on collection of engineering, cost & schedule information•Good understanding of the technologies and materials used in packaging solutions (paperboard, corrugated cardboard, molded fiber, precision thermoform trays, cushioning, wraps, films, mailers, palletization)•Ability to read mechanical drawings including GD&T•Experience driving vendors on design, validation and deliveries•Excellent verbal/written communication skills•Excellent presentation skills (Keynote / PowerPoint)•Innovative with a track record of accomplishments•Grace under pressureBeneficial Skills:•Unigraphics or other industrial standard Mechanical CAD software (a plus)•Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements (including documentation) for controlled materials batteries, solvents, VOC's (a plus)•Experience / knowledge developing environmentally friendly material solutions (a plus)Education:•At least 3 to 5 years' experience as an engineering or technical program manager in a high paced high volume environment•Experience with Project management tools, Wrike is ideal•WW High Volume packaging development experience desired•BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience/skills desired•Additional spoken languages is a plus - Mandarin in particular as majority of packaging is manufactured in China.Vacancy expired!
