Hardware Validation Engineer (Power Engineer)12 MonthsSunnyvale, CA (Onsite)
Work Scope:1. Perform Hardware validation on consumer electronics – VR Headsets2. Validate the EE design from proto to ok2ship phase3. Have hardware validation experience in at least 2 of the domains – Power, Audio, Display, Memory, Battery, Sensors, Signal integrity.4. Write automation scripts if needed to reduce validation cycle time. Qualification:1. Having hardware validation experience in at least 2 of the domains – Power, Audio, Display, Memory, Battery, Sensors, Signal integrity.2. Understand basic concepts of signal integrity – I2C, SPI, I2S, UART, SPMI, MIPI2, Familiar with lab equipment (Oscilloscope, power supply, eload, function generation, thermal chamber and DAQ system);3, Experiences in lab automation is a plus (Python)4, Familiar with ADB(having Shell script experience is a plus)5, self-motivated and detail oriented.

Automation scripting skill such as python and shellLab skill: power analyzer, thermal chamber, battery emulator, EloadBench Automation power measurement.

3+ years of experience on following:

Software- writing automation scripts in python
Working in power electronics
Working in a lab (power supplies, function generators, etc)
Good to have- NI DAQ (National Instrument DAQ)
Power measurements – power consumption in different use cases , write automation scripts, running the automation scripts using the NI DAQ
Python is a major area to know
Also ADB ( how you communicate with a device)
Power validation engineer, power automation engineer, power test engineer
Interesting- confirm the marketing claim, will directly impact the customers
This is the validation team supporting VR (wearables), validate design, quality, find/prevent bugs
