IT Infrastructure PM job description:
  • Experience managing projects which involve network deployment to new locations.
  • 15+ years of experience working in IT and experience in IT infrastructure project implementation.
  • Experience working in companies undergoing significant growth and addressing challenges related to growth.
  • 5+ years of project coordination/management experience.
  • Experience in dealing with the transition or transformation of an organization's goals, processes, or technologies.
  • Strong experience with recognizing the need for process improvement, authoring requisite documentation, and driving required changes company-wide.
  • Ability to implement strategies for effecting change, controlling change, and helping people adapt to change.
  • Ability to creatively problem solve using critical thinking skills.
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to influence business stakeholders, peers, subordinates, managers and executives in written and verbal communication.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively to executive leadership.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills a must.
  • Experience in IT Infrastructure technologies including core networking; wireless networking; A/V (audio visual); voice solutions including Unified Communications and Contact Center; UCaaS/CCaaS; PaaS/SaaS; cloud-based solutions; desktops, laptops & peripherals.
  • Possess standard PM skills:
1. Able to manage a schedule, track tasks and report status.2. Able to facilitate meetings with vendors and cross-functional participants; generate concise meeting notes.3. An interest in IT Infrastructure technologies to include networking, cloud-based solutions, voice/telephony, audio-visual (AV).4. Work with virtual/remote teams to coordinate installation of infrastructure technologies.5. Author and maintain procedural documentation.6. Demonstrated ability to manage & track project-specific financials.7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.8. Flexible work hours to support remote timezones (US, APAC and EMEA) when needed; this is a global role.9. Has a firm hand in tracking & confirming completion of all project tasks. Manages delivery with meticulous level of detail which is complemented by clear understanding of strategic vision.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (e.g., Science; EECS; Comp Sci; Inf Systems; Bus) or higher preferred.
  • PM certifications and/or hands-on background with network administration/engineering a plus.
