We are looking for creative problem solvers who have strong entrepreneurial instincts to help us identify new sources of growth for Stanley Black and Decker. Our market strategists use strategy, analysis, and financial modeling to turn innovations into real businesses with long-term viability. You will be working with the Stanley X team to identify new opportunities in partnership with the Stanley X cross-functional team as well as key stakeholders within the Stanley Black and Decker business divisions.
You will work to identify new opportunities in fast growing emerging markets for digital and hardware technologies. You will be supporting strategic and tactical decisions through your research, analysis and insight development.The result of your work will be playing a significant role in realizing ventures that have the potential to make significant impact. Duties & Responsibilities - Support functional and product leaders to commercialize new and next gen solutions through strategic research, market analysis and insight development
- Provide analytical support for cross-functional teams in new concept development and commercialization situations
- Lead and perform primary and secondary research, critical thinking, and analysis to address key strategy questions related to new concept development and commercialization
- Build robust, agile customer segmentation, market sizing analysis, competitive landscaping and much more to support decision making
- Develop actionable business insights from qualitative and quantitative research and data
- Leverage the research, analysis and insights to create actionable business plans
Qualifications- A curious problem solver who has the ability to bring big ideas to life. You're creative and scrappy but can navigate a large organization with ease.
- You have at least 4+ years of corporate strategy or management consulting experience or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Able to synthesize/analyze complex and diverse information developing and recommending strategies
- Solid business acumen ensuring market insights are relevant and practical
- You daydream new startup ideas in your spare time
- Prior experience in market segmentation including sizing, pricing, competitive landscape, channel analysis and VOC (voice of customer)
- Proven track record communicating to senior leadership including motivating and influencing peers
- Ability to toggle between strategic thinking and detail orientation
- Readiness to roll-up-your sleeves
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, MBA preferred
