Cloud Engineer

Sunnyvale, CA Responsibilities:• Design, deploy, maintain, automate, and troubleshoot virtual and physical servers and storagesystems, firewalls, and Load Balancers in our hybrid cloud environment (AWS and Azure)• Automate regular infrastructure operations in our cloud environment• Development and scripting to automate routine tasks and deployments rather than manualconfiguration• Maintain customer-facing, mission-critical 24/7 production systems working with a worldwideteam—patching vulnerabilities, backup/restore operations, maintain disaster recoveryprocedures• Provide on-call support for server, storage, and virtual infrastructure• Adopt new Cloud features to improve existing capabilities as well as for new capabilities• Follow mandated processes and adhere to organization security policies and guidelines Must-have qualifications and skills• Must have 7-9 years of experience• Expert level proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ruby)• 3+ years of experience in automation and development• Configuration management experience (Chef, Ansible, Terraform)• Intermediate to expert level knowledge in maintaining Linux and Windows operating systems• 3+ years working on cloud infrastructure in AWS• Comfortable with ambiguity; able to work efficiently with cross-functional teams acrossgeography, and manage numerous projects simultaneously under the pressure of deadline,with minimal guidance• Strong analytical, communication (verbal and written), and project management skills withattention to detail Nice-to-haves• Networking background, experience in working with IPsec VPNs, AWS and Azure NetworkSecurity Groups, TCP/IP stack, VPN, and static and dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)• Experience working with API Gateways, WAF, and serverless framework (AWS Lambda)• Experience working with Docker and/or Kubernetes• Proficiency with Hyper-V virtualization in a large environment
