Please note that this is a 3 and half months contract position.-fully onsite Sunnyvale, CAProof of vaccination NOT requiredTop Must Haves:-Ability to communicate verbally and written-Familiar with PC Hardware/ Windows 10 operating systems environment (imaging)-Sit for long periods of time/ lift 25 pounds-Familiar with ticketing systems-Taking inventory and data erase of machines-Update software-Mostly prep work, not much interacting with the users- more back end workImportant Notes:-attention to detail is very important-will be working with IT full time staff-will be unboxing new PCs and moving them around so must be able to lift those-Bachelor's degree not required- looking more at experience and ability to learn these procedures-Want some kind of IT background and/or previous experience with Dell computers-knowledgeable about Microsoft operating systems-no travel requirement-plus for certifications but not looking for anything specific-combination of hardware and desktop support

Summary:The main function of a support technician is to research, design, develop, and test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical support technician is responsible for supervising the manufacturing and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.Job Responsibilities:• Update knowledge and skills to keep up with rapid advancements in computer technology.• Provide technical support to designers, marketing and sales departments, suppliers, engineers and other team members throughout the product development and implementation process.• Test and verify hardware and support peripherals to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements, by recording and analyzing test data.• Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.• Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.Skills:• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.• Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.• Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software.Education/Experience:• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent training/education required.• 1-2 years experience required.Applicants must provide their phone number.
