Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations. Prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team. Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment. Keeps current on advances in the field of IT. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.

In the heart of Silicon Valley, the Northrop Grumman Sunnyvale location is undergoing an initiative to modernize their existing business systems and custom applications. We are looking to hire a skilled business process analyst/project manager to support this effort. This person will lead multiple projects and will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. It will require the coordination of all activity from the initial kick off through completion of the project. The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented with a focus on team empowerment & shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and a culture of automation.

Telecommuting is an option, however some travel may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders
  • Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision
  • Works with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements
  • Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner for the developers/project team
  • Develops and conduct reviews of business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted
  • Collaborate with customer and development team to identify appropriate technical solutions
  • Coordinate with customers and/or technical staff to resolve issues
  • Use accepted project management, application development and documentation standards and processes
  • Coordinate testing, implementation, documentation of applications
  • Work as the project manager and provides leadership, guidance and support to all team members
Skills
  • Self-starter that takes initiative to complete assignments with little supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and customer service skills
  • Proficient with computer and information technology
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Adept at managing time to meet deadlines
  • Ability to think logically and analyze business process requirements
  • Experience leading virtual teams across enterprise
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to details
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience; 3 years with a Masters degree. (Appropriate combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)
  • Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification a plus

Salary Range: $101,400 USD - $152,200 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
