- The Material team at client is responsible for building out and evolving the Material Design system, as well as producing and maintaining the guidelines for using Material Design.
- This work is published as internal and external design guidelines, with supporting shared code libraries that are available as open source.
- We also build and maintain infrastructure and tools for designers and engineers.
- We also run client design, a design outreach effort that includes editorial and social channels like the client design website and the design conference series.
- This role requires a seasoned planner and a flexible project manager who can effectively work with multiple design stakeholders.
- As a Design Reviews Program Manager, you will facilitate design reviews with first party (1P) teams at client.
- In this role you'll combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help teams improve client's product designs for billions of users.
- You'll collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, designers, and engineering teams to track their implementations, keep track of status, and manage meetings/meeting notes with our partner teams.
- You'll also manage design-related communications to team members, executives and other stakeholders.
- Own the Design Review program, Material's primary channel for giving and receiving feedback with first party (1P) product teams across client.
- Work with 1P teams to understand their challenges, with a focus on reliable and available service.
- Execute on established scheduling, facilitation, and note-taking processes for design reviews.
- Manage comms before and after reviews, ensuring timely reminders and clear follow-up actions.
- Compile insight reports and impact statistics to send to Material team and reviewers.
- Ensure Material Design team addresses questions within our stated SLA.
- Track feature requests (from reviews, YAQS, and Buganizer) through established processes.
- Manage our Material CRM (Salesforce Customer Relationship Management tool)
- Input all updates (contact information, design review tracking, and product teams' answers to design system usage questions).
- Create reports in Salesforce that inform our team of weekly progress.
- Drive creation of outreach resources to communicate key messages from Material to client teams. This includes product updates, assistive resources, and other touchpoints.
- Material Newsletter content coordination and distribution
- Drive content creation and maintenance of resources supporting onboarding onto the Material Design system, education, and demonstration of best practices.
- Identify and build communication channels and touchpoints with our 1P partners.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience.
- Demonstrated program/project management skills
- Familiarity with design, user research, and innovation processes and experience working with design, research, and engineering professionals
- Excellent diplomacy and communication skills and facility working with diverse groups
- Experience pulling info from many places and keeping it on a timeline
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
- Experience working in Salesforce
