Location: Sunnyvale, CA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Software QA Engineer
This job will have the following responsibilities:- Participate in the onboarding and testing of third party applications Manual testing When possible, participate in test or task automation tool design and development Provide testing influence and guidance for multiple teams - including overseas resources Potentially create scripts or other software tools designed to address a specific task within the onboarding team Work independently to accomplish testing, maintenance and remediation tasks that relate to third party applications on the ecosystem
- 1-4 years of familiarity with automation strategies and implementation
- Programming knowledge of Java, Javascript and Bash or some combination of those would be ideal
- Familiarity with browser debugging (IE: Chrome dev console) would be a plus
- Good technical skills balanced with a strong quality ethic
- Ability to grasp technical problems and their implications quickly and take appropriate action
- Good analytical and observational skills
- Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with complex applications
- A self starter who can quickly assimilate how tasks are completed and replicate that practice with similar tasks and extrapolate that knowledge into new tasks
- Knowledge of quality assurance, quality control and defect management
- Familiar with agile management practices
- Working knowledge of Jira a plus
- Hands on experience with Cucumber is a plus
- Hands on experience with Splunk or similar tool is a plus
