Technical Lead - Quality Assurance Automation

Job Summary Our Interactive Technology organization is part of our Worldwide Marketing Communications Department. This team designs and delivers the iconic brand images and experiences to various sites, apps and retail stores. We work on many high-impact projects that serve various lines of business. We use the latest in open source technologies and continue to evolve and deliver solutions on a worldwide scale. Working with a variety of cross functional teams, we bring it all together to deliver the interactive experiences with an excellent group of software engineers while having fun along the way. We are looking for a Lead Quality Assurance engineer to help expand our test automation efforts and platforms that support our web application delivery. This person brings a deep understanding and genuine passion for test automation, test strategy and best practices.

Responsibilities • Drive development of scalable and portable functional automation framework for XXX.com • Lead development of an abstraction layer based automation framework • Partner with quality engineers working on automation solutions for web applications internal javascript libraries and global elements • Identify coverage gaps in existing testing methodologies and convert them into automation opportunities • Collaborate with developers to integrate test modules into automation frameworks and automated tests into a CI/CD pipeline • Develop interactive reports that communicate the status of each project • Review project briefs and functional specifications to determine appropriate test strategy • Enhance and expand the relationship with other QA teams • Establish key performance indicators for automation coverage

Key Qualifications • Proven experience developing javascript-based functional automation solutions • Experience working on an abstraction layered-based automation architecture • Ability to collaborate with developer teams to identify, understand and test key features • Deep understanding of functional, integration and performance testing is required • Experience with UI automation testing tools like Applitools Eyes • Experience managing testing of web applications and front-end global components • Able to assess appropriate trade-offs between short term results and long term goals • Experience with selenium-based automation frameworks like WebdriverIO • Experience with node-based automation solutions like TestCafe • Familiarity with Javascript test frameworks like Jasmine, Jest or Mocha • Experience leading a team of high-performing quality engineers • Experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, CSS, HTML • Comfortable with dynamic schedule driven development • Experience with Agile methodology a plus • Dedicated problem-solver who can work in a fast paced environment where multiple releases are a fact of life • Ability to size technical efforts accurately • Familiar with scalability, performance and tuning techniques • In depth knowledge of source version control software (Subversion, Git) • Experience collaborating with other technical teams for performance, monitoring, reliability and scalability

The position requires excellence in communication, both written and verbal, including the ability to work well with stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds with varying levels of technical knowledge. This role must focus on delivering while having the agility to adjust and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
