Title: Technical Project Manager (Initially Remote)

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Client: Microsoft Responsibilities:Write software usage manual, FAQ etc.Tech support for tools developed for internal user use.Develop and maintain dashboard website (for internal use) content.Helping create style guides or suggesting changes to ensure content is consistent and clear.Research, develop, and document technical design specifications and test scripts.Determine the needs of users of technical documentation.Work with technical staff to make products and instructions easier to use.Edit material prepared by other writers or staff.Incorporate animation, graphs, illustrations, or photographs to increase users’ understanding of the material.Collect user feedback to update and improve content.Produce and distribute tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.Research technical terminology and concepts.Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.Pipeline maintenance, and run test scripts.Log analysis, and identify failure root cause.Other special projects and assignments, as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or similar area of study.Professional3+ years of related industry experience as a technical writer.The ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.Creative skills in the usage of photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts.Excellent time management skills.Proficiency in working with all types of operating systems.The ability to solve complex problems on the fly with creative out-of-the-box thinking.Self-development skills with a willingness to keep up to date with fast-changing trends.The ability to perform and oversee complex tasks and prioritize multiple tasks based on overall strategic goals Education and experience.The proven ability to work independently and be self-motivated with minimal supervision and assistance.The ability to work within a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change.The proven ability to be a team player with a collaborative orientation and the ability to effectively interact with, and influence, internal and external stakeholders.The capability to interface with multiple levels of the organization and to serve as an influence leader and a team player.The ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.Strong presentation, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills.
