We hold a variety of industry recognitions, including IS-BAO Stage III Registration, ARGUS Platinum and Wyvern Wingman status as well as NATA Safety 1st and IS-BAH Stage II.Job DescriptionThe experienced A&P will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining aircraft from both our Part 135 charter company and our Part 145 repair station. All work will be done in accordance with the Desert Jet Maintenance General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and all applicable FARs. This includes maintenance, inspection and repair of all aircraft, special tools, and ground support equipment; work order preparation, review, and completion. Safety will be the primary consideration while insuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations & company policies.Essential FunctionsInspect, maintain, and repair aircraft.

Ensure the cleanliness of work areas and the return of equipment and tools at the end of the work shift.

Ensure that the hangar, workshops, and other areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.

Develop and maintain a cohesive and cooperative teamwork environment with flight crews, department managers, line personnel, and company employees.

Maintain knowledge of flight schedules on a daily basis and ensure production schedules meet delivery dates.

Complete work orders and account for parts and billable time.

Ability to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Work in a FAR Part 135 and Part 145 aircraft maintenance in a hangar and ramp environment

Successful candidates for the position will have the following qualifications and skills;FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) license meeting the requirements of FAR Part 65.83

Previous MRO or corporate jet experience

High school diploma or possession of a G.E.D. certificate.

Possession of an adequate set of aircraft mechanic's hand tools

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Valid drivers license

Current US Passport

Preferred qualifications include;Training and/or experience on Citation, Embraer and Beechcraft jet product lines

Minimum of 2 years experience in aircraft maintenance ( FAR Part 135.411(a)(2) aviation experience preferred)

This position requires applicant to live in the greater Palm Springs area.
