Job Description: SMCI is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst/PM to be responsible for supporting Regulatory Information systems projects. Collaborate with the business team, key suppliers, service providers, external workers and business partners to ensure a successful initiation, development testing & implementation of a given project.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
  • Analyze business partner operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
  • Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.
  • Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
  • Gain and possess expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization & systems and capabilities.
  • Perform light project coordination and project management: responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
  • Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business. Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
  • Possess an understanding of technological trends and use this knowledge (Regulatory Landscape) to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprises and competitive edge.
  • Responsibilities will also include the following but will change over time to meet the ongoing needs, so flexibility is important:
    o Participate and produce deliverables related to solution analysis and selection (RFI, RFP and related deliverables)
    o Provide testing support for upgrades and releases, including integration testing from various sources to target systems.
    o Assist with grooming the user stories and adding acceptance criteria & verify Process Exercises per sprint
    o Assist with working with vendors to ensure user stories are aligned per sprint
    o Participate in workshops, update JIRAs as applicable
    o Author/review project documentation (RS/DS, test scripts etc)
