Product Assurance Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY The new Product Assurance Engineer will our clients team with the goal of contributing to the development and growth of a new engineering team, which will be supported by all the experience and expertise of our Parent Company team. This position will be responsible for the implementation of product assurance, quality control, and configuration management, and for managing final assembly and validation of pre-production units. The candidate will contribute with design of parts for electromechanical systems. In this position you will have the opportunity to contribute to projects for US and European customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Support existing projects in the implementation of product assurance, quality control, and configuration management, following protocols established in the Parent company.
  • Manage and participate in the final assembly of prototypes and pre-production series.
  • Identification and generation of all documentation related to the integration of new products under development into pre-production.
  • Support verification and validation of prototypes and pre-production series
  • Support field test campaigns for validation of prototypes and pre-production series
  • Manage of required changes to design, manufacturing, and assembly, as necessary.
  • Perform mechanical designs of parts and manage fabrication.
  • Creating and revising production drawings (detail and assembly drawings)
  • Understanding and reviewing customer requirements to support that the final product meet them.
  • Participation in formal customer reviews (design & test related)
  • Attend meetings and contribute to design reviews
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
  • Master in engineering - mechanical, electronic - or equivalent
  • At least three years of professional experience in an engineering company
  • Experience of environmental and functional testing.
  • Hands on design experience of 3D CAD tools and other engineering tools.
  • Proven experience in PA activities. Production and/or EEE parts.
  • Basic knowledge in electronics and/or mechanisms.
