Position Overview:A full-service acute care facility serving the residents of Tracy for over 60 years, Sutter Tracy Community Hospital (STCH) has a total of 82 inpatient beds. STCH provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services including: a 24-hour emergency department, inpatient and ambulatory surgical services, endoscopy lab, intensive care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory and rehabilitation services including physical, speech and occupational therapy. STCH also has specialized care for Hemodialysis, Family Birthing Center, Continence Center and a Pain Management Center. STCH is a not-for-profit, community-based hospital, affiliated with Sutter Health since 1993.POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, incumbents in this classification are responsible for maintaining assigned areas of the hospital in a sanitary, orderly and attractive condition. Individual will be required to perform other related work as assigned by Environmental Services manager, supervisors and or shift lead.Qualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent education /experience is required.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year housekeeping experience required.
Knowledge of the safe use of chemicals and cleaning supplies
Knowledge Special Skills/Equipment: Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics are
required.
Able to work with a minimum of supervision. Must be self motivated.
Must be able to work with different types of cleaning equipment.
Must be able to handle multiple projects.
Ability to manage own time and schedule own tasks. Must have initiative to work efficiently without constant supervision and direction.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Demonstrated knowledge in the use of industrial cleaning equipment and supplies are desirable.
