Reach Your Peak.SummaryThe Rental Technician is ultimately responsible for the overall quality of the Northstar Children's Rental Shop and Ski School. This position plays an integral role in the success of the school and will have daily communication and interaction with ski school management, instructors, POS staff, inside support staff, children, and parents attending ski school. As a rental technician’s we represent the Kid’s Ski and Board School by ensuring that our guests have the best experience on the mountain. From customer service, providing lesson information, booting, scanning inventory, rental queue procedures, properly setting ski DIN’s, ASTM safety checks, and more.Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Continuously providing the highest guest customer service

Training - including binding certifications, manual DIN, and ASTM certification

Providing a higher quality guest experience

Workplace safety and supporting safety initiatives

Quality control - routine equipment maintenance and safety checks

Assisting with the yearly inventory and replacement of retired equipment

Torque tests and inventory control

Administrative duties

Self-development

Driving value for the company

Superior guest relations

Maintaining and promoting teamwork

Operational duties and maintenance of physical assets and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older

High School diploma or equivalent is required

1 years rental shop experience required

Must possess superior guest service skills

Must be able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently

Desire to work directly with young children

Knowledge of skiing/snowboarding equipment is a must

Must be willing and able to be outside in adverse winter conditions

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to lift, bend and carry items with a combined weight of 30 lbs. (such as ski racks, ski and snowboard equipment, etc.)

Must be willing/able to work weekends and holidays throughout the season

Preferred Skills:

Previous experience with children is preferred

Previous rental shop experience preferred
