Production Worker

Job Description:The Forming Machine stacker/packer is responsible for basic operation of the machines in the Finishing Department that you are assigned to. This includes, ensuring that the machines are performing at 100% efficiency, ensuring that product coming off of the machines and being packed is of the highest level of quality, keeping the machines and work area clean and ensuring that you and your co-workers are working safely. Daily Duties:? Prepare machines for daily operation. Glue tanks, cases/trays, and blanks.? Attach/Record all material load tags to/on daily production reports.? Keep Forming Technician aware of needed machine adjustments.? Continuously watch machine to maintain a minimal amount of waste.? Keep machine downtime to an absolute minimum.? Continuously check product to ensure quality.? Carry out Sanitation/Preventative Maintenance procedures listed in the Sanitation/Preventative book attached to each forming machine.? Assist crewmembers on other machines when possible, to maximize the performance of the Finishing Department as a whole.? Clean up machines and work area at shift end, in preparation for the next shift.? In the event of an absence the Supervisor will make a determination if to run short a person, a loader/packer is to be called in or if a temp service is required.The Stacker/ Packer is to adhere to WestRock policies and procedures and will follow the SQF, YUM Brands cleaning and sanitation practices, be aware of Pest Management, Maintenance and HACCP, The Adequacy of Prerequisite and Food Defense along with observing all Safety Programs, GMP programs as well as ensuring The Operational Methods and Personnel Practices are maintained.WestRock (NYSE:WRK) partners with our customers to provide differentiated paper and packaging solutions that help them win in the marketplace.
