You can also copy the link below into a browser to apply through our internal career site:https://www.myworkday.com/vca/d/inst/1$9925/9925$45699.htmldVCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists is a well-respected, 24-hour emergency/multi-specialty practice in Tustin, California.We are seeking an experienced RVT or Veterinary Assistant to join our surgery team.The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.In this position you will be supporting our surgeons by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. The position is for four, 10 hour shifts. Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 8:30am-7:00pm. Duties will include:

Maintaining medical records.

Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.

Filling prescriptions.

Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

Assisting in surgical procedures

Monitoring anesthesia

Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.

Assisting in other areas of the hospital, as needed.
