The Software Development Manager focuses on managing and evolving the development strategies for our Zigzy tools and products. We are looking for candidates who love coaching the development team and seeks out new development technologies and techniques that can help productivity. This person will also help provide development planning to satisfy product roadmap and lead initiatives on projects. Responsibilities
Manage and help guide the development teamProvide analytics to business, through data, presentations and/or tools.Work closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand user stories prior to refinementProvide high level sizing and technical insights during backlog groomingBe fully aware of the backlog’s healthWork with the Director of Technology to understand the dev team members growth plans and help them work towards their short- and long-term goalsPresent new technologies to software architect and Director of Technology for evaluation and implementationResponsible for releasing product on release cadenceWork closely with Directors and Business Analysts to understand the roadmaps and the release schedules to assist with getting those release datesProtect, drive, lead and be available for your teamTake initiative to respond to all team messages, TFS comments and emails to ensure that development continues to move forwardHelp team with removing impediments and blockersBe communication point with third party vendors that integrates with productStep outside the comfort zone to learn new skill sets that pertain to our technology needsMaintain a positive and excited attitude so your team feeds off that energyExpectations are not limited to the aboveManage onshore and offshore teamsQualificationsUnderstand various development methodologiesProven expertise on system architectureFamiliarity working with web technologiesExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsAble to keep up with the latest development software Remote employees will require a strong internet connection, we recommend 100mb download or the ability to plug into the internet via an ethernet cable for optimal connection.
