Beacon: IT Senior Technical Specialist

Function as a hands-on integration developer using working knowledge of Java/J2EE, middleware technologies using MVC design techniques and database experience. Use Microsoft SSRS and Microsoft SSIS reporting tools, and prepare detailed technical specifications from which integration services will be written. Design, develop, code, test, debug, and document integration solution and services, and analyze, review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency and/or adapt new requirements. Provide on-call support for production systems, consult with users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives, and function as a Technical Lead in managing assigned projects. Lead technical design planning, solution approach, and manage technical implementation guiding a team of developers. Deliver projects assigned to the team. Write technical specifications that communicate the technical design of a project, using flow chart, data flow diagrams, pseudo-code, ER diagrams to document technical design. Develop middleware services written in JAVA/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, EJB, WebLogic, Websphere, Apache, and Tomcat. Develop UI/UX services using Bootstrap, Java Script frameworks, HTML, and XML/JSON. Write Stored Procedures and SQL for application development and support. Perform code reviews to ensure quality of programming through standards enforcement, peer code review, and automated tools. Work with DBA to design and deploy database schemas and specify attributes of database tables including primary keys, foreign key, identities, constraints, default values, indexes, and triggers. Code and unit test program modules. Create unit test scripts, assist in software system testing procedures, and assist in installation/implementation of application systems. Document activities using appropriate tools. Follow departmental coding standards, and procedures that define the software development life cycle. Follow Agile delivery of software using SCRUM methodology.
