Mendocino Forest Products requires each of our supply chain partners to utilize the best possible forest management practices.MFP is looking for a Skilled Stacker Operator to work with us on the 2nd (Swing) Shift at our Ukiah, CA Treating facility . SummaryPackage lumber, fulfilling company and customer approved quality standards, while matching pace with incisor output in a safe and productive manner.

Stack lumber units in solid packages or stacks lumber on sticks for drying depending on destination.

Monitor sticking machine for cross ups, broken stickers, and debris

Maintain supply of lathe stickers

Communicate with bin tender, Tallier and forklift operator

Inspect end stacker every day

Perform light maintenance as required, and recognize possible problems to be communicated to maintenance

High school diploma or GED or 3 months related experience

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.

The employee is occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

This position requires the employee to view a computer screen and use a keyboard for extended period of time.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close, distance, color, peripheral and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
