job descriptionMaintenance MechanicDirect Hire for Maintenance Mechanic!The Maintenance Mechanic III position will require the ability to repair, maintain and install production machinery, with a focus on electrical systems and electrical troubleshooting. This team member performs the maintenance of a food production machine including: preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installation of machinery relating to food processing equipment, physical structures, mechanical and electrical systems. Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Computer Controls are skills needed to perform this function.Responsibilities:Completes preventive maintenance work orders on equipment, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specificationsTroubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical malfunctions. Previous experience with PLC is desired.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.Controls downtime by informing production of mechanical issues and preventive maintenance schedulingFabricates repair parts by using machine shop equipment.Works with maintenance supervisor and shop clerk to maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies;Working hours: 5:00 AM - 2:00 PMSkills:Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions on work orders and communicating with the maintenance supervisor through work orders and communication boards.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Contributes to team effort and demonstrates responsibility and initiative by completing job assignments and request efficientlyMust observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)Education:No Degree RequiredExperience:Entry LevelQualifications:Minimum of 5 years experience executing mechanical fixesAbility to handle multiple tasks, projects and see them through to completion by assigned deadlinesExperience with coordinating multiple skill projectsMust be able to set realistic goals for selfMust have excellent communication skills both oral and writtenMust be able to work well with others, and be dependable and flexibleMust be able to life and/or move up to 50 poundsMust be able to type and use electronic devices such as computers and ipadsApply to job ad or email meuy.saetern@randstadusa.comRandstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
