Job Description
IT Systems Application Administrator Valencia, CA Direct Hire up to $105k year Immediate hire with growing company successful candidate will provide centralized application software support for enterprise applications including installation, testing, evaluation, maintenance, and training of software applications. Understand and support key applications such as MS Exchange, Salesforce.com (CRM), OpenText RightFax, Clippership Manifest System, and other enterprise applications as assigned. Application support for all enterprise applications. Under general supervision, design, maintain and monitor critical backup and restore processes using Veem backup software. Perform software installations and updates including deployment of software. Provide technical knowledge to accomplish evaluation and deployment of new software / solutions. Observe and monitor bidirectional application integrations with various company systems. Troubleshoot systems and applications issues. Support the Systems Administrator in administering companies Windows-based server farm and 400+ node PC environment. Specifically, administer Windows Active Directory and supporting services such as DNS, DHCP, Hyper-V, and server clustering. In conjunction with the DBAs, provide system administration and maintenance of MS SQL Server, and applications that depend on these servers and databases Requirements:- 3-5 years relevant experience, undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of computer applications (e.g., MS Exchange, MS Office, Visio, Epicor, Rapid Recovery / AppAssure, Alchemy etc.)
- Strong background in MS Windows server and workstation operating systems
- Working knowledge of network routers, switches, and hubs in an Ethernet-based infrastructure environment
- Working knowledge of telecom equipment such as voice switches, VOIP, and traditional on-premises PBX systems
- Significant experience in developing written documentation
- Excellent organization skills
- Keen ability to evaluate user requirements and provide support solutions to staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, very strong sense of urgency, and able to work on several simultaneous projects
- Ability to thrive in a very fast paced demanding environment
