System Administrator for Vandenberg AFB. The Systems Administrator will support our Consolidated Air Force Space Command Modifications, Maintenance, and Operations (CAMMO) program.- Provide support for 24/7 mission system software on the Air Force Satellite Control Network
- Perform PMIs, when not supporting mission operations and/or factory compatibility testing
- Review, install, checkout, coordinate and troubleshoot mission system patching requirements released in quarterly Software Maintenance Actions (SWMA)
- Password management of all core LRUs
- IRON database coordination and install
- Daily maintenance logs, to include pulling lift logs, scanning and formatting data for review
- Requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience plus a minimum of 3 years experience in LAN operations, maintenance, and support functions.
- Experience working in LAN operations, maintenance, and support functions
- Possess an active Secret Clearance
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification
- Able to lift 50lbs, to waist level, unassisted; occasional lifting in excess of 50lbs is required as part of a two-person lift for larger items. Appropriate PPE will always be used
- Experience with Air Force communications networks
- Experience in network management
- Extensive knowledge of broad-based networked computer environments and Windows Server
- Understanding of Linux system administration
