One of the program’s two primary operating locations is Vandenberg AFB, CA. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, transport operations, propellant loading operations, and processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARYEstablish and maintain both stationary and mobile environmentally controlled rooms or enclosures to specified levels of cleanliness.Perform rough and fine cleaning of environmentally controlled areas. Clean all horizontal, vertical and overhead facility surfaces per established procedures. Respond to in-work variables such as process flow, access, configuration and operations Perform regular "walk downs' to inspect cleanliness of assigned area. Work unsupervised, alone or with a team. Use ladders and operate personnel aerial lifting devices in the performance of dutiesReceive on-site technical direction from the Contamination Control Engineer, Operations Coordinator or Responsible Facility Engineer.Clean Industrial areas when unscheduled activities prevent normal access to primary assignments.Identify cleanliness concerns. Communicate with the contamination Control Engineer and other work shifts leads.Maintain necessary cleaning supplies in the assigned work areas. Maintain cleanliness and order of cleaning equipment Ensure supplies are properly Identified.Observe appropriate environmental practices In regard to retention/disposal of work product.Requires knowledge and ability to perform all duties of the Plant Service Worker.#SpaceVetsBasic Qualifications:Requires a knowledge of clean room policies and practices, clean room maintenance practices and environmental surface cleaning.Must be able to perform all janitorial tasks to included but not limited to, cleaning restrooms, offices, and facilities.Ability to work at various heights on gantries, service towers, high lifts, etc: to work In confined areas.Must be able to lift 25 lbs.Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance.Must be a United States citizen and have the ability to obtain a Passport.May be required to travel and work odd shifts with overtime.Basic knowledge of and ability to operate computer systems.Desired Skills:Have knowledge of janitorial, clean room policies and practices and clean room maintenance practices.Experience operating hand power sweepers, waxers, polishers, and scrubbers.Able to operate personnel aerial lifting devices and be able to operate janitorial machines.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
