Provide engineering and technical support to DCO functions for mission systems at Vandenberg AFB. Execute preventative measures to secure and fortify ground segment architecture of space mission systems. Identify anomalous activity. Gather data and information regarding potential cyber incidents, anomalies or issues through proactive measures (monitoring, assessment and surveillance) or through reactive measures (reports and notifications). Report and react to anomalous activity. Plan, coordinate and support execution of effective response to incidents. Maintain the cyber defense systems used to perform protect, detect, and respond. Support the defensive cyberspace operations training to the mission system operators. Training will be conducted primarily at Schriever AFB. Evaluate the cyber defense systems and current ground segment architecture for the space mission systems being defended against the cyber risk management metrics, to include Evaluator’s Scoring Metrics (ESM), and provide recommendations to fulfill cyber defense guidance and methodologies. Provide the full range of engineering support necessary to incorporate new/future technologies to proactively protect, detect, and respond to cyber threats. Support peer reviews of policies and guidance as they relate to the DCO mission. Support frequent working group meetings with the customer.Basic Qualifications:Possession of a DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification.3 years of SIEM/IDS/IPS maintenance and implementation.Experience with employment of DoD cybersecurity requirements, policies, and procedures to include assessment and authorization activities.Experience with responding to cyber incidents.Desired Skills:Experience performing cybersecurity activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment.Experience with eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), DISA STIGs.Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems.Knowledge of NIST 800-53.Experience with RHEL.Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber regulations and requirements to engineering and software development staff.To promote the sharing of ideas, Lockheed Martin champions an inclusive work environment that encourages differences and big-picture thinking.
