A reputable and stable organization located in Santa Barbara is actively seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a long term career related position and they are looking for an individual that can add value to this position as well as the company. This individual will have 2+ years of prior Staff Accountant experience. Some additional responsibilities include:
- Prepare monthly journal entries, balancing and reconciliation of general ledger and subsidiary accounts
-Supervise and mentor one or more clerks / staff members
- Identify and prepare journal entries
- Produce and distribute daily cash balances to management.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies; elevate issues to supervisor as necessary.
Desired Skills & Expertise:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience
- Excellent project management, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time
