Cal Coast Machinery, Inc., is a locally owned company that sells and services agricultural, lawn, garden, and homeowner equipment, as well as carries a complete supply of parts for these types of equipment and more.
Job Description
Responsible for selling, receiving, and delivery of parts and accessories. In addition, performs in-store customer service, overall organizational promotion, and stocking duties.
Responsibilities
- Promotes and sells products and/or services to meet customer needs
- Assists customers on the front parts counter by looking up and ordering parts, invoicing
- Assists technicians-looking up and ordering parts for our service department
- Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
- Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
- Shipping- utilizing various methods such as UPS, Fed Ex, Conway Truck, Etc
- Receiving-utilizing our inventory control system, matching packing slips with parts, filing shortages, etc.
- Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
- Stocking Parts-putting away stock orders
- Unloading trucks using forklift
- General warehouse maintenance-sweeping, organizing
Job Requirements
- Entry level position
- Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
- Basic automotive/ag parts and machinery knowledge
- Ability to use the John Deere Parts Catalog computer application
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Fork lift certification preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Bilingual preferred
