We are a brand-new Fairfield Inn & Suites in Camarillo, CA seeking a dynamic and passionate Hotel Front Office Manager. You will be the first and last to meet our guests, and making a great impression is core to this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Reports to General Manager

Managing and training the night auditors and team of receptionists

Ensuring the front desk provides a professional and friendly service for customers

Dealing with customers, including handling complaints when they come to the desk

Troubleshooting emergencies

Scheduling your staff

Liaising with other departments

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.

Greet, check in and settle guest accounts while ensuring all service standards are followed.

Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.

Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.

Follow all safety policies.

Assign tasks and ensure all staff positions are covered for the duration of shift

Field complaints and address visitor concerns

Answer phone inquiries, direct calls and provide basic information

Oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriers

Track and invoice office supplies

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Proficient in the English language (verbal & written).

Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment.

Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

Previous customer related experience an asset.

Previous FOSSE, MARSHA experience an asset.

Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset.

Must possess a professional presentation.

Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.

Highly responsible & reliable.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.

Hospitality Diploma is an asset.

Must be flexible in terms of working hours.

Must have the ability to handle cash effectively and accurately.

Requirements:

Frequent standing and walking throughout shift

Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting

Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Communication Skills:

Applicant must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
