SENIOR TRAFFIC ENGINEER

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Traffic Engineer, registered as a Traffic or Civil Engineer in the State of California, with a minimum of five years experience performing various public works and traffic engineering tasks within and for municipalities. This is an exceptional opportunity to become a key member of our highly qualified, collaborative and motivated public works team.
We are seeking a candidate with an aptitude for performance excellence. Must be able to work independently, communicate effectively, be a team player with excellent listening skills, exercise diplomacy and maintain professional working relationships with clients and coworkers. Political awareness and the ability to work with elected officials, City officials and the public will be essential to the success of the selected individual.
Locations: Ventura County, California
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Capital Improvement Program Management
Ability to perform traffic data analysis, engineering and safety studies
Review of signing, striping, traffic signal and traffic control plans
Oversee traffic-related tasks in large corridor improvement and transit projects
Technical writing and assisting with preparation of report documents and presentations
Knowledge of Federal and State design criteria and standards
Knowledge of transportation grant requirements
Other associated municipal engineering duties

Minimum Experience and Education
Minimum of 5 years experience within a municipal Public Works Department
Valid registration as a Civil or Traffic Engineer in the State of California is preferred
